Memento

(It was only after this picture that I realized the commando look didn't suit Maggy)
Ah Memento.

I was going through some trials about a year ago. And to express myself, I wanted to gather these three and put them in a short miscellaneous story about memories because I complete forgot how Maggy's story went. I changed it so much that I forgot the whole purpose behind it. Of course, it stunted me creatively and I just wound up even more depressed.

Anyway, I came up with a concept for a story dealing with memories and friendship called Memento. It started off as a knockoff of one of my favorite RPG game (I think someone may know exactly which one), but as I progressed on the concept, it got much deeper. I always wanted to get back to it eventually.

Anyway, the point is, I'm going to play around with it a little bit more. Because I miss these three so, so, so much. Especially Maggy. And thanks to my wonderful friend, I was able to touch on old feelings when it comes to drawing Maggy like I used to.

First Comes Love: On a roll

Cleo faces. Though I found her much more fun than Amore's, she gave me more difficulty when it came to consistency. Thus, same person, with about four different looks. *groan* Oh well, it's just another hurdle I have to jump over. And after deciding, she's not going to have the freckles. Someone else will. ;)

She's not enough to deal with, with the weird blue streaked hair afterall. And then there Curtis, who doesn't play an important role yet but will much later in the story. For now, you just see bits and pieces of him.

And now on to the story that I need to get started on. This is gonna be a test for me.

First Comes Love: The quest to start anew

A quick sketch of Amore's new look, compared to my previous post. Pretty nifty right? I tried to capture her most frequent facial expressions. Although I have to admit, the one of her "disgusted" expression looks pretty ugly. *laughs* It makes her look old.

Ah well. I'll take the time to play with her expressions again on the second round, but I'm pretty much satisfied with her new look.

She's supposed to be pretty "princess" looking, yet she shows her age which is about 19 or 20. I forgot how much hair she has! Compared to her baby sister, Cleo, who has shorter hair (thank goodness).

Notes: Amore's style of clothing tends to be frilly and babydollish. She likes to wear summer dresses and her favorite colors are purple and yellow.

Lastly, those strange blue streaks that runs through her auburn hair is actually hereditary! All her sisters have it, so it's not rebellious hair coloring. That continues to remains a mistory that may never be solved...

Next is Cleo and possibly another character who will remain unnamed for spoiling sakes. Enjoy!

First Comes Love: Alive again?

I've mentioned before that I love this story. I really, really, really do. If not for my fantasy and saving the world ideas, I ALWAYS turn to this story. I've never done well with writing love stories except for this one. It's not only a love story, but it's a comedy.

Comedy is a buffer I use when another genre (such as romance) isn't much my forte. But this story can relate to everybody, especially the characters. Because it's more than just falling in love...you'll have to learn to love yourself as well.

Love others for their flaws. Love the person on the inside...even if they are 10 years your senior--oh snap--must not give the story away now. ;)

I relate to almost all the characters here, especially Amore and Cleo.

So what is it exactly I'm yammering about concerning this story. Well I hate to make promises because I always break them. Let's just say concerning my other projects such as Pumpkin Hollow and Acorn Kids, I need for you to be a little bit more patient with me about that. Something grabbed my attention that could possibly send my name out there and show exactly what I can do. But I have to WORK for it. Even still, if it doesn't come through, at least it's defenitly something I can put in my portfolio.

And that's what I'm striving for, right? *nods* More info later. Oh and before I forget:

Can't end the post without our favorite co-stars. Of course, now everybody needs a makeover...

Pumpkin Hollow: Final Faces

These were done about a month ago. Finalized Dazzni faces! Not much of a change regarding her looks, she just has a more squishy nose and lips. I guess I'm trying to express her ethnicity, I really like it.

Any way, for a time, I'll have time to draw a lot more and see if I can get more of this comic done. If I can just get the motivation to finish this one chapter then I can finish everything. Until then, I shall reveal more later.

Old: Acorn Kids

After my intro, I wanted to show one of the projects that I was working on. Introducing you to the "Acorn Kids". In a nutshell, this will just be a series of pictures that shows the amount of trouble these little kids get into. And, boy, do they get into some STICKY situations.

What are they doing here?

They're celebrating a successful harvest of growing...a peach. Hey, the smallest things makes them happy. And as long as they're happy, I'm happy. =D

Getting Started: Intro

I was gonna go through this whole speech of how hard it was for me to draw. Between juggling a full time job and doing other life responsibilities, it usually leaves me too tired to even bother picking up a pencil and doing what I enjoy best.

That aside, I'd at least like to try and put a portfolio together in hopes that I can at least conquer one of my challenges growing up (ha, I'm old enough as it is) and find a job that well...concerns art.

I can't paper push forever!

So my ideas for my portfolio consists of three possible projects. One of course, is Pumpkin Hollow. I wanted that to be a regular comic to work on as I better myself at sequential story telling. Another is a project about a tiny group of children named "Acorn Kids". I only tell their story through pictures. Another, is unnamed for now, but has been bothering me for about two months. I haven't played any video games for what seemed in ages. Yet the urge to conceive ideas as if I were to make one has been lingering. I was trying to achieve that through Pumpkin Hollow, but I don't think it'll work. I have yet to figure things out. For now, this intro post is helping me doing nothing but ramble.

So here, I'll put my brainstorming ideas, show my idea concepts and let you watch as I build my portfolio from the ground up. In the meantime...I've been meaning to get my website up...eeks.
