And there you have it. That's why there hasn't been any comic updates...or no new drawings in general. Same story, same excuse. Every time I set a date for a project, it never falls through. =/ It's like I jinx myself before I even get started. Sundays are usually my downtime, but I've been incredibly busy and distracted lately. Who knew?

I'm also suffering from artistic ADD again. I start stuff and can't finish them. Boo.

I Have Nothing

Reference of Prince Michael and his woman Emica for Memento's Prologue. I wanted to express how even though they are of royal status...they come from different "worlds". So I had to simplify Emica's dress so it's not as glitzy as Michael's outfit. Emica's elegance and grace makes her fancy. Out of all the female characters I've made, Emica is the most beautiful to me.

...and why is Michael so DEATHLY PALE??

I had to make a quick reference sketch of them because right now, time is limited for me. And now for the bad news.

I know for certain I am NOT going to make Sunday's comic update. One reason is because I've been busy working odd jobs (literally ODD jobs) to make finances. It's been a struggle and I'm really tired and don't feel like drawing or I just don't have the time. Another reason is, the next following pages represent a lot of beauty and are sort of personal to me so I want to make them as beautiful as possible. A certain panel that has a Citadel is gonna take some time to do properly anyway. =( And Kasti sucks at drawing buildings.

EDIT: Six pages is SUICIDE. You'll just have to put up with my lateness whenever I get the pages up. Because then this wouldn't be fun anymore right?

Tell me a Story...

Prologue 7/18

So it was Stanley the doll under Maggy's bed the whole time. And besides...don't think that'll be the last time you see him either.

-Rantings Time-

I think I finally got over my "first page" jitters but still these pages suffered in more ways then one. I feel so out of touch when it comes to comicking. I forgot the strains that it brings, but the satisfaction that comes with it as I'm finally progressing on a story that has been stuck in my head for about a year. Run on sentence, ha.

I can pick apart at stuff for so long but I don't. I chose to finish what I start and move on. My style of drawing continues to change (as you so faithfully witnessed!) because I STRIVE to become better. It's a mission to improve. I try to do it while enjoying drawing at the same time. In certain things of my art, I feel like I haven't changed much and in other ways I see I have come a long way (especially when I look at my old drawings).

I'm gaining that charm that I had about five years ago. It's more than happy faces and sparklies. It's a feeling you get from my art that makes you go, "Awww...I get a good feeling from this." I have put that effect on quite a few people and that makes me happy over everything else. I achieve that through Maggy because she makes me happy whenever I draw her. And to have other people share that same feeling...well...I don't need anything else.

So needless to say, as this Prologue progresses, so will the quality of the art. We're about to have a scene change. And I'm totally excited because I get to ABUSE THE SPARKLES! SPARKLIES WILL BE EVERYWHERE!! ...oh and there's a bit of cheesy romance in there too.

Hey guys...guess what...? COMIC TIME!

BABY MAGGY! BABY MAGGY! BABY MAGGY IS SCARED OF THE DAAAARK~!
*end fangirly scream*

I'm gonna go ahead and send these in bunches instead of torturing folks with one page each week. It'll give you something to look forward to.

As for me, I'm bushed. I'm dead. I'm just...tired. I'll have to learn how to pace myself better when it comes do doing pages. Because when I do comics (or even pictures) when I'm tired, I rush through and do things half...baked. Huhu. So if I forgot to do something in these pages...I'm most likely not gonna go back. Maybe. I gotta move on cos it gets better.

And I think thats it. I want to stress: COMIC UPDATES ARE ON SUNDAY NIGHTS.

So check back every Sunday so you can get your comic fix unless I say I'm not gonna make it before hand. I usually make up for my loss.

Or you can always check regularly for other stuffs I post here. Remember I'm devoting a lot of time for Memento so I'm trying to post as much as I can.
